Fossil Detectives
Fossil Detectives is a brand new series produced by the BBC Natural History Unit for the Open University. With eight half hour programmes the Fossil Detectives team have travelled the country exploring the latest science and most fascinating fossil sites in the country. Drawing on the Coast model each programme is regional based, within a number of distinct stories and beautiful scenery.
The series is fronted by BBC New Talent winner Hermione Cockburn and features a regular team of fossil experts.
The series is due to broadcast in late 2008 and will be companied by details on the OU website and a Fossil Detectives book.

the World Championships. The programme is transmitted live from Television centre studios. Insert films are cut
on Avid Adrenalin and transferred onto our LSM network to be played into the live programme.

MOTD returned for the 16th Premiership season. Matches were recorded onto our Avid Airspeeds or MAX servers
enabling skilled editors like Charlie Cope,
Chris Kaye
and Nathan Carpenter
to start immediately cutting down the matches in a linear or nonlinear suite.
The finished edits were saved onto our LSM to be played into the constantly changing live programme or used for analysis
by specialist operators like Neil Belcher, Andy Clements and John Loughman. We also utilise specialised graphics tools
like Piero operated by trained post production assistants.
