What it does

When should I use it?

A non-linear system which combines the functionality of a standard grading platform with the advantages of a high-end effects system.

Its secondary colour correction capability is hugely powerful – unlike a conventional grading system, which is limited to six layers at most. To colour correct thousands of layers.

When should I use it?

A state-of-the-art non-linear grading device.

For highly sophisticated matching between shots, primary and secondary colour correction with the addition of multilayering and FX plug-ins, flexible keying and matting of picture areas including tracking of moving elements.

What it does

When should I use it?

Both film and tape capable in SD. The system runs the Platinum workstation and has Electric Sunroof which enables us to grade small areas of a frame. Six levels of secondary colour correction comes as standard. Also runs the Platinum workstation but is both SD & HD capable (film and tape) and uses the PIXI colour corrector. This has six levels of secondary colour correction and the ability to create vignettes is proving popular.

For highly sophisticated matching between shots, primary and secondary colour correction. For creative styling and effects on raw material.
 

SCRATCHBOXSCRATCHBOX

What it does

When should I use it?

Frame by frame blemish removal using a pen and tablet interface. This complements the real-time systems and is capable of repairing the results of severe film damage and video faults, both in SD & HD.

To repair scratched and damaged film for both SD and HD.

What it does

When should I use it?

A grain reduction and real time blemish and noise reduction system, both SD & HD.

Essential for Super 16 use at HD.
 

SHADOWSHADOW

What it does

When should I use it?

An HD telecine system.

FFor scanning at SD and HD. Advanced CCD scanning technology and all-digital design ensure high quality and reliability.

 

SLEDGEHAMMERSLEDGEHAMMER

What it does

When should I use it?

A network storage solution linking HD, online (Smoke), and grading (Lustre) devices.

To play into the system from a HD Telecine and upconverter. It gives a complete HD tapeless solution, only using tape as a medium for delivery.

 

SPIRITSPIRIT

What it does

When should I use it?

State-of-the-art telecine machine that scans the film at 2,000 line resolution and will output in 625 lines SD and 1080 line HD formats.

To scan at SD and HD. Advanced CCD scanning technology and all-digital design ensure high quality and reliability.
 

URSA DIAMONDURSA DIAMOND

What it does

When should I use it?

A multi-format device working with 16mm, S16mm, 35mm & S35mm film to scan at SDTV. The addition of ‘Y-Front’ hardware reduces film scratches.

For a cheaper option for telecine transfer than the Spirit but still yields quality results.
