BBC Post Production Birmingham is home to some of the best Drama, Magazine and Contemporary Factual programmes on television. From 'Doctors' and 'The Afternoon Plays' to 'Coast, 'Countryfile', 'Gardeners World' ‘Don’t Die Young’, 'The Sky At Night’, ‘Indian Food Made Easy’, and 'To Buy Or Not To Buy'. Our talented team and comprehensive facilities ensure that your programme is always finished to the highest of standards.

Our facility at the Mailbox in the heart of Birmingham City Centre is situated amongst a raft of hip and trendy restaurants, bars and shops. It offers a range of modern, fully equipped and inter-connected editing, dubbing and finishing suites, all linked to a central high speed Unity server. We can provide twelve online capable editing suites, two Symphony finishing suites and two dubbing theatres (including one that is 5.1 capable), including one fully HD capable finishing suite with Dolby 5.1 monitoring.

High Definition production has expanded over the previous year with several major HD series including 'Around the World in Eighty Gardens', 'Saira Khan’s Pakistan', 'Ultimate Britain – Wild Water', 'Indian Food Made Easy', 'Coast HD Shorts', 'Doctors' and 'The Afternoon Play'.

Our facilities at Archibald House, a period building of character at the Selly Oak campus, have been set up in co-operation with The University of Birmingham and BBC Drama. Set in beautiful surroundings, the facilities available at the Drama Village include five editing suites, two dubbing theatres, a grading suite, a linear finishing suite and a digitising suite.
