BBC Resources secures three series deal for
ITV1’s Alan Titchmarsh Show
December 2007:
BBC Resources Ltd has secured a three series deal with SpunGold for ITV1’s Alan Titchmarsh Show.
Having successfully supported the first series and a Christmas Special, it will help make series two, three and four and provide studio and post production facilities right up into 2009.
Its BBC Studios division will support five live and five recorded programmes a fortnight, whilst its BBC Post Production arm is providing full post production for the insert packages.
The topical chat show transmits Monday to Friday at 3pm on ITV1 and sees Alan Titchmarsh host an array of celebrity guests, including Sir Cliff Richard, Dame Judi Dench, Christian Slater, David Cameron and Hell's Kitchen chef Marco Pierre White.
David Hall, Series Editor says, “This show has very high production values and each show has its own specific requirements. The experience of series one demonstrated that BBC Resources is flexible and accommodating of all our needs. This facility has a rich history of strong programme making, has an exceptional team of talented individuals, and it was an easy decision for us to return”.
