BBC Studios creates new Super-Star dressing rooms

In Autumn 2002, two Super-Star dressing rooms were unveiled in BBC Television Centre. The dressing rooms have been designed to the highest standard, combining work, make-up and rest areas in sophisticated five-star comfort suitable for visiting high profile guests and celebrities.

Plans to re-furbish the dressing rooms were sparked by feedback from visitors asking for more comfortable, spacious and adaptable areas to get ready and do work in around the shows. A leading design company, which has worked on fitting out some of the most prestigious hotels in the world, was brought on board to draw up plans for the new spaces.

Richard Philipps, Head of BBC Studios comments:

"The new super-star dressing rooms are an integral part of the rejuvenation of Television Centre, and are key in providing our customers with the surroundings that they expect. We are pleased to have created inspiring versatile spaces that can be used by guests to hold meetings, prepare for their shows, monitor the live action or just simply relax and rest."
